Qwoted pricing vs Featured

Qwoted and Featured both sell the same promise. A journalist posts a question and experts answer it.

The best answers end up quoted in a story. The difference is in the limits.

Qwoted Basic is free with 2 pitches a month and Pro costs $149 a month for 35.

Featured is free with a few opportunities a week, Lite costs $29 a month and Pro $79 a month. Qwoted rations pitches.

Featured rations AI usage.

What 1.4 million pitches show

  • 33pitches sent per journalist request across the three Featured serviceskeyt.com
  • 1 in 10fully AI-written pitches selected, against about 1 in 3 human oneskeyt.com
  • 35%of 2,500 plus journalists switched on a filter that hides AI-flagged pitcheskeyt.com

How does Qwoted work

Qwoted is an expert sourcing marketplace. Reporters post requests, and sources with approved profiles pitch into them from a dashboard.

Your profile also sits in a database reporters search on their own, so a good profile can bring requests to you without a pitch.

Every account gets real-time alerts and a daily email. On the free Basic plan new requests arrive after a two hour delay, and popular requests often fill up before then. Qwoted reviews every pitch before it reaches the reporter. That slows you down, and it is also why reporters trust the feed.

Qwoted reviews

The complaints in Qwoted's Trustpilot reviews cluster in three places.

  • Account bans after AI detection flagged an answer, including founders who say they wrote it themselves.
  • The same requests repeated in the daily email.
  • Approval steps for small profile changes.

Whatever you think of detectors, the rule is on the platform's side. If your answer reads like a model wrote it, expect a warning first and then a ban.

How often do journalists pick AI answers

A 2026 analysis by the AI detector Pangram covered all three Featured services from June 2025 to July 2026.

It counted pitches fully written by AI, not answers edited with a tool.

AI answers picked about one in ten, human answers about one in three, as two jars of tokens

How to answer a journalist request so it gets picked

With 33 answers on the table, your reply has to prove in two lines that you are the right source.

The example below, for a request on backup power for clinics, is illustrative. The full answer template is on the HARO alternatives guide.

I run operations at a company that installs backup power in clinics in Eastern Europe, so I see outages from the inside. The first thing a clinic loses is not light, it is refrigeration for vaccines, and most small clinics have no plan for it. In our last 40 installs the average clinic had under two hours of battery for its fridges. I can share a photo of a typical setup and talk by phone today. • First line. Who you are and why you know this.
  • Direct answer. The exact question, in two to three plain sentences.
  • Proof. One number or first-hand detail no one else has.
  • Offer. A call today, or data you can send.
  • Sign-off. Full name, title, company, one profile link.
Five envelopes in a tray with two lifted out
Monthly reviewCount quotes onlyAt about five answers a week, a month brings some twenty. That is enough to see which topics win quotes and which never do.

How many requests should you answer a week

About five. A strong human answer wins about one time in three, so five careful answers a week give a real chance of one or two quotes.

Answer only on a topic you know from direct work, with a fact the reporter cannot get elsewhere, within an hour. Twenty rushed answers bring a ban risk.

Checklist before you send an answer

  • The request matches your real expertise, not a nearby topic.
  • Your first sentence says who you are and why you know this.
  • You answered the question that was asked, not the one you wish was asked.
  • There is one first-hand fact in the reply.
  • The whole answer is short enough to read in 20 seconds.
  • No sentence was pasted from a model or from an earlier answer.
  • Your profile photo and title are current.
  • You logged the request and its result in one sheet.

When a request platform is the wrong tool

Request platforms build a trail of quotes.

They do not get your launch covered on the day you choose, because nobody posts a request asking for your news.

For that you need outbound pitches to named reporters, the route laid out in how to get press coverage.

How we work the request feeds for you

  1. Request triage

We read the daily request feeds for your beat and pass only the requests where your founder is a real source.

  2. Answers in the founder's words

We interview the founder for ten minutes and shape a short answer from those words, so no detector flags it and no reporter spots a template.

  3. Outbound on your own dates

Request answers fill the gaps. Launches and funding news go out as direct pitches to the reporters who cover your field.

A month on two request platforms

One month on two request platforms, illustrative

Situation
A B2B software founder had a free Featured account and a free Qwoted account and was answering every request that mentioned software.
What we do
The team cut answers to requests that matched three topics the founder could speak on with numbers, replied inside the first hour and wrote each reply from a short voice note.
Outcome
Fewer answers went out, each one carried a fact only this founder had, and the Qwoted free limit of two pitches was spent on the two best requests of the month.
