Pocket PR plans vs agency retainers

A US agency retainer starts near $3,500 a month and usually holds you for 3 to 6 months. As an AI PR agency we keep software on the research and people on the pitches, so every plan includes a coverage report every month and a status note every week at a fraction of that.

Questions

Questions about pricing

Is there a minimum term?

No. Every plan runs month to month. Stop any month with one email, and there is no auto-renewal with a notice period.

Why from and not a fixed price?

The plan price is where it starts. Extra markets, languages or a launch week can add to it, and you see that before you agree to anything.

How do PR agencies charge?

Most charge a monthly retainer. Some bill by the hour, and pay-per-placement firms charge per story, which pushes them toward paid or low-quality sites. Pocket PR charges a flat monthly plan for the work, meaning signed pitches, verified contacts and the report.

Can I switch plans?

Yes, up or down from the next month.

How is this different from a traditional agency?

A US boutique retainer runs $3,500 to $10,000 a month with a three to six month minimum. We keep the people and drop the long contract.

How is this different from PR software?

Software gives you a database and a send button, and you still do the work. We do the work with you.

What does a PR agency retainer usually include?

Strategy, story angles, media lists, pitching, press releases and a monthly report. Our plans include the same work with the count of pitches written down.
